Divisional Coordinator

Divisional Coordinators’  Duties:

  • you are an official member of the executive and must abide by all applicable rules/by-laws of our GMBA Constitution.
  • attend GMBA Executive Meetings held on the 1st Wednesday of each month
  • This can change so read e-mails, check “Message Board” for any changes.
  • collect all names of players from the registrar once registration is complete.
  • phone last years’ players that have not registered and see if they are registering late. Inform them of the late registration fee of $25.00).
  • arrange player evaluations of all children in your specific division for equitable team organization. Select the date(s) and who will run the evaluations. Generally a division will require about 4 – 5 different stations.
  • once evaluations are completed assist coaches administrate the team selection process. This is usually done a few nights after the on-field evaluations at a meeting place such as Tim Horton’s, etc.
  • assist our Scheduler with division scheduling-regular league and play-offs.
  • the picture coordinator will give you the photo packets for the coaches with all the information about picture day. You will need to hand them out to all the coaches in your division.
  • be the intermediary between the parents/coaches. Contact either the 1stor 2nd Vice President in the case of a serious matter. We have a Dispute Committee to help resolve serious problems.
  • assist All-Star Coordinator facilitate info regarding dates of all-star-try-outs, etc. (Mosquito-Midget)
  • assist Volunteer Coordinator gather data of volunteers in your division – get coaches to keep data and send updates to Volunteer Coordinator.
  • organize the Year End tournament – enlist the support of parents in your division.
  • hand out trophies at the end of the tournament
  • be the liaison between Umpire-in-Chief and coaches in your division.
