Equipment Manager
- Upholds the Constitution, By-Laws and Rules of the ball club
- Handles the baseball and umpire equipment inventory: purchase, repair, handing out and collection of all equipment at the end of summer season, ensures all-star teams bags have been returned and checks each bag’s equipment to the bag inventory check list
- Handles the batting cage inventory
- Solicits quotes from various suppliers for replacements of equipment as shown on the equipment inventory list
- obtains executive approval for ordering equipment and orders early in the new year
- If expansion of teams occurs, prepares a new list of what is needed, solicits quotes, obtains executive approval for and orders
- Makes up equipment bags and a bag equipment inventory check list
- Purchases locks and keys for coaches for the equipment boxes at Brothers 2, 3 and 4
- Delivers the bags to the coaches at the coaches meetings, ensuring each coach checks his bag and signs the bag inventory sheet to signify that the list is correct and gives each coach a key to the equipment box that they will be using along with a scorebook and line-up book
- Puts the field equipment into the equipment boxes at Bros 2, 3 and 4
- Puts the umpires equipment into the room available to umpires
- Sets a weekly date and time to be available to coaches who need equipment changes
- Will make a note on the bag inventory sheet when a coach receives different equipment
- Will keep a list of all issuances of baseballs
- Will obtain executive approval for any late orders of equipment
- At end of league season, ensures all league bags have been returned and checks each bag to the bag inventory list to ensure all equipment has been returned
- Makes up the all-star team bags, keeping an equipment list on each bag, with the All-star Coordinator and all-star coaches
- Through summer, notes on the equipment list any changes to the all-star team bags
- Collects in the all-star team bags and checks to ensure all is there
- Returns the field equipment from the equipment boxes to equipment storage
- Repairs equipment that is repairable
- Does an equipment inventory and makes a written report of what is required to maintain the inventory at the current level
- Makes a report for the Annual General Meeting
